This is a quick recap of some things that people should be aware of as we head into the remainder of November as it pertains to our nation's fiscal health. 1. The Auto industry is reeling right now. They state that if there is no fresh infusion of cash before the end of the year, they don't think that they will be able to make it until the end of the year. 2. The Unemployment situation is becoming serious. The rate has hit a 14-year high recently at 6.5%. Analysts are predicting that that number could hit 9% in a matter of months, with a loss of 300,000 jobs in November 2008 alone. 3. Holiday Shopping will be quite interesting this year. Holiday spending is expected to be challenging this year with people looking to hold on to the funds they have with the current economic uncertainty. One online poll even said that 45% of people plan to no do ANY Holiday shopping, with a large amount planning to shop at discount stores like Walmart. |
